TERMS & CONDITIONS
Payment terms
In order to secure the booking, we require a non-refundable 50% deposit upon booking our Event Walls. This deposit will secure York Event Wall's services for the date of your booking. The remaining balance is then due four weeks prior to the event date. Payments will be made to VSM Consultancy, referencing York Event Walls. We accept payment via bank transfer, cash or cheques which are made payable to VSM Consultancy Ltd.
Rental period
We will deliver the Event Wall for the day of the event, at a time which is appropriate to you and your venue. In most cases, we collect our wall the same day, however if the Event Wall is kept in a secure location / venue then we can collect the following day.
Service supplied
Bookings of York Event Walls operate on a first come first serve basis. Once a deposit has been received for that day, we would not and will not take any other bookings for that day for that wall.
Insurance
Our Event Walls are fully insured with a £250 excess. In the unlikely event that York Event Walls should have to make a claim, the client is responsible for the £250 excess in full. The Event Walls will be left in the care of the client in good working condition and any damage, loss or theft of the equipment whilst in their care, will be charged to the client up to a maximum of £950. In the case of loss, damage or theft of the equipment, the client agrees to contact York Event Wall immediately and we cannot be responsible for the resulting lack of equipment.
Denial Of Service
We reserve the right to refuse rental service to anyone at anytime where we deem it is in our best interest on the basis of lack of safety precaution, or likelihood of abuse.
We may also refuse rental service at anytime and our obligation under any contract executed will be void should we discover that the intended use of the equipment presents a serious safety hazard and/or violates any constitutional or by law.
Client Responsibility
The client agrees to ensure the Event Wall is collected in the same condition as received, ordinary wear and tear accepted. The client is solely responsible for the equipment, and those who use it, whilst it is in their possession and accepts full responsibility for loss or damage to the equipment. The client is solely responsible for ensuring that the equipment is in use throughout the course of the event. Should any glasses break during the event, York Event Wall have the right to charge up to £3.00 per glass. We also ask that once the Event Wall is set up and in place, the client does not try to move or reposition the Event Wall.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify York Event Walls and it’s employees and agents from and against any and all losses, damages, claims, or liability of any kind whatsoever, including legal expenses, arising from the use, condition (including, without limitation, latent or other defects) or operation of the equipment, and by whosoever used or operated the equipment during the rental term. York Event Walls are not responsible for accident or injury caused directly or indirectly by the use of the Event Walls.
Refunds and Cancellations
Your booking is secured with a non-refundable deposit as detailed above. Should an event / wedding cancel, the 50% deposit will not be refunded. Once the balance has been paid, should the event / wedding cancel up to 7 days prior to the event date, a sum to the value of 25% of the total amount will be refunded.
If possible & subject to availability, we are happy to transfer the cancelled booking, including any outstanding payments, over to a new client/date. We can transfer a date twice, before the deposit is completely lost.
York Event Wall's Responsibility
In the unlikely event that York Event Walls cannot perform the services agreed upon; all fees paid by the client will be refunded. We will take the utmost care with respect to delivery of the equipment and in the event that circumstances arise that are beyond our control our liability is limited. Circumstances beyond our control include, but are not limited to: acts of nature, electrical power failures, strikes, labour disputes, riots, insurrections, civil disturbances, fires, flood, storms, explosions, war, governmental actions, non performance of third parties, or loss or fluctuations of electrical power.
York Event Walls reserve the right to use any footage/imagery for promotional or any other purposes or public display. The client assumes all liability for any form of copyright infringement and is responsible for any personal releases.
How we use your information
We collect personal information when you register with us or place an order for products or services. We will use this information to provide the services requested, maintain guarantee records and, if you agree, to send you marketing information. We will not share your information for marketing purposes with companies outside our company.
